Haring Farm Home Burns Near Clare After Noon
George Haring and his son John faced loss when their farm home two and a quarter miles east of Clare on US-10 burned to the ground last Saturday just after noon. Firefighters fought the blaze in vain as flames tore through the roof, saving only a washing machine, table, and some clothing. The John Haring family had lost their home in a prior fire on October 3, and the total loss neared $1,000 with $1,900 in insurance. Three new General Sno Fog extinguishers were added to the local department’s equipment.
