Bowler Completes Advanced Aircraft Training for Navy Wings
William Edward Bowler of this city has earned the Navy Wings of Gold after completing advanced aircraft training at the Miami Naval Air Station. He received the wings from Commander H. L. Hoerner and now holds the rank of Ensign. Bowler, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Former Citizen of Clare Killed Near Coleman
The body of William Bogue 24 of Coleman was brought to Clare for commitment services in Cherry Grove cemetery and interment beside his mother after a funeral at Wierman Funeral Home in Coleman. He was born November 22 1917 in Vernon township Isabella County and worked as a farm hand for William Mullaily near Coleman until his death when struck by a car on US 10 near Coleman. He is survived by his father William Bogue of St Johns two sisters Mrs Stanley Rice and Mrs Rosalee Case and a brother Charles Bogue.

Mrs Ada Hasler a longtime Clare resident and prominent businesswoman died Saturday at Clare aged eighty two. Born Ada Reed December 4 1860 in Vernon Michigan she moved to Clare with her husband George Basler in 1900s and built a furniture stock business later expanding to stores. Funeral services set for Tuesday at Thurston Funeral Home with interment in Cherry Grove cemetery.
