Wreck Auto In Speed Run From Police
Two Clare youths in a speeding 1965 Ford wrecked on Beaverton Road near the Clare Gladwin county line. Driver Tim Thayer 17 and passenger Ronald Winchell 18 walked away unhurt but were arrested after the crash. Thayer fined 75 dollars and costs plus 30 day license suspension. a 20 day jail term was suspended. Police said excessive speed and slick snow caused the loss of control during a pursuit.

Lakeview won 60 48 as Al Patterson led Green and White with 13 points, while Meridian defeated Clare 64 47 with Ken Akers in double figures. Davis praised conditioning but cited shooting jitters and 36 percent free throws.
