Wreck Auto In Speed Run From Police
Two Clare youths in a speeding 1965 Ford wrecked on Beaverton Road near the Clare Gladwin county line. Driver Tim Thayer 17 and passenger Ronald Winchell 18 walked away unhurt but were arrested after the crash. Thayer fined 75 dollars and costs plus 30 day license suspension. a 20 day jail term was suspended. Police said excessive speed and slick snow caused the loss of control during a pursuit.
