Added Evening SS Office Hours In Mt Pleasant
Mt Pleasant Social Security district office will stay open 4 45 to 9 00 p m on Mondays and Thursdays for several months to help residents qualify for added health insurance and other provisions of the 1965 amendments. Armand W Ross says the extended hours supplement the 8 30 to 4 45 schedule. Eligible groups include those 65 and older not yet receiving benefits and widows 60 or 61 who can apply earlier. Unmarried students 18 to 22 whose benefits were stopped may also gain. The office is at 316 North Mission Street.

Clare Gladwin Community College trustees moved to finance initial building needs with a one million dollar bond approved November 4. Attorney J Franklin Trucks was rehired to represent the board as James C McNamara oversees bond processing with Fred Thrun. A president candidate was interviewed and an architect search continued. repayment relies on property valuations in the district.
