William Harper Named Clare High Principal
William Harper, longtime Clare high school art teacher and math instructor, is appointed principal of Clare Public School. He succeeds Richard Wheeler, who becomes school superintendent after T. C. Campbell’s resignation. Harper, a Central Michigan College and University of Michigan alumnus, served in WWI and is active in Kiwanis and Boy Scouts. Elementary art programs will be discontinued as he takes on full principal duties.
