Death of Frank Amos After Crossing Accident
Frank Amos a retired railroad engineer with the Ann Arbor Railroad was killed when his automobile was struck by a southbound Ann Arbor freight train at Phelps Crossing north of Farwell at 10 18 EWT Thursday. Dr G E Lamb acting as County Coroner ruled the death accidental. Amos lived near the crossing, was deaf and alone in the car, and funeral plans were incomplete at press time.

Ezra Randolph a former Farwell resident collapsed dead at the Saginaw bakery where he worked at about 11 30 Tuesday morning. His remains were moved to Miller Funeral Home Farwell for prayer services at 1 00 Friday. Funeral services follow at Gilmore Church of Christ at 2 00 with Pastor Howard L Krause officiating and interment in Gilmore Cemetery. Life story to be published next week.

Daniel E Hoover 73 Dies After Four Weeks Ill in Lansing
Daniel Edward Hoover 73 of 1417 Lyons Ave Lansing died Friday morning after a four week illness. He was born February 29 1872 in Belmont Ontario and lived in Harrison Clare Temple Lan sing and Aurelius. He married S Estina Roland in 1897 and had nine children. He worked in public service as postmaster supervisor and school director and served in the Auditor General office for nineteen years. He is survived by his wife nine children nineteen grandchildren seven great grandchildren a sister and a brother. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 PM at Robinson-Barbier-Nichols Mortuary Lansing with Rev Paul Boodagh officiating and interment in Aurelius cemetery.

Hazel Sutton Discharged From Marine Women's Reserve
Pfc. Hazel Sutton of the U S Marine Corps Women's Reserve was honorably discharged August 4 at Long Beach Naval Hospital California after twenty two months of service. She enlisted November 16 1943 in Detroit trained at Camp Lejeune and served in transportation at Santa Barbara before a three and a half month patient stay at Long Beach Hospital.
