Dennis J Regan 79 of Rosebush passed away at General Hospital Mt Pleasant Wednesday night. A blacksmith, he worked in Clare in the 1890s and ran a Rosebush shop for 45 years before retiring two years ago. Funeral at St Henry's Vernon Saturday 9 AM burial in church cemetery. Survived by wife Mary and daughter Agnes of Rosebush.

Farmers Picnic at Stevenson Lake Planned by Union

Durance-Irwin Annual Family Reunion Held at Irwin Grove
The Durance-Irwin annual reunion gathered 112 relatives and 2 guests at Irwin Grove near Stevenson Lake on Sunday August 14. Attendees traveled from Sarna Ontario Frankfort Charlevoix Muskegon Allegan Cheboygan Traverse City Detroit Flint Port Huron Mt. Morris Farwell Lake Station and Clare. The group shared food, two soft ball captains were chosen Murchie Lucy and James Irwin, and races were held with winners named from Clare Farwell and more. Planning for 1929 set for Flint on the second Sunday in August. The oldest attendee was William Durance 71 and the youngest Diana Stanley one month old. There were no deaths, one marriage and two births.
