Beer In Possession Youth Fined in Clare Court
A nineteen year old Vassar youth was fined in Clare municipal court this week on an illegal possession of beer charge. Donald La Rue Kribs was arrested in June and appeared August 12, paying an $18 fine. William A. Molesworth, 48, of Gladwin, was arrested August 8 on McEwan Street and charged with reckless driving. he pled guilty and paid $29 in fines and costs. Richard D. Cushion of Lansing paid a $60 overdue fine and $4 costs for a disorderly conduct charge. Thomas Shilling, 29, rural Lake, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a property damage accident, paying $14 in fines and costs.

Funeral services set for Friday at Clare Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with a Thurston Funeral Home prayer service at 1 30 p.m. Burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery. William Jamies Hursh Sr., 79, formerly of Clare, died in Tacoma Washington Hospital last week. A Spanish American War veteran and Methodist member, he is survived by Maude his wife two sons a daughter two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Michigan farmers relied on local banks for credit in 1954. J Stuart Bicknell cites the fourteenth annual farm lending survey showing Michigan banks held $119.2 million in farmer loans on Jan 1 1955, far surpassing Federal Land Banks and other lenders. German exchange student Dietrich Kroger returns to Germany
