The Stutting Oil Company plans to open a new filling station at the east end of Hast Fourth Street on U S 10. Texaco veteran Allien Crum partners with Mr. Stutting to run the station featuring a lunch room, car wash, hydraulic hoist, and ample parking. The facility will stock Dixie Mobile and Quaker State oils.

Curwood Lodge Remains as Left by Noted Writer
Three years after his death at the lodge north of Roscommon the Curwood dwelling remains untouched. The pine scented cabin preserves his love of nature and conservation work with handmade furnishings from surrounding woods. Arm Caught In Can Washer At Midland Creamery
Clarence Lamphere, 18, son of Clare residents, had his forearm seized by a can-washer at Detroit Creamery in Midland. After over an hour the machine was cut away with an acetylene torch. Two arteries were severed, bruises sustained, but doctors say the arm will be saved.
