The body of Nettie Weatherhead Brown arrived in Harrison after an eight thousand mile journey. Funeral services were held at two pm with Rev. A Watt Johnston delivering comforting remarks. Pallbearers and attendees included family members and distant friends from multiple states. Burial occurred in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
Sale of assorted goods offered for $1.00 at Art & Novelty Shoppe located on Fifth Street. Items include axvt goods and gifts advertised for Saturday Monday and Tuesday.

The 15 month old child of Mrn and Mrs Bert Preston of Marion was killed when crawled into the path of a car backed from a garage driven by older brother Leonard. Remains were brought to Clare Sunday and interred in Cherry Grove cemetery.

Dennis Fitzpatrick Sr aged 85 died at his home in Arthur township on Tuesday August 6. The funeral was held at St. Cecelia church Thursday with Solemn High Mass by Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick assisted by Fr. VanColone Fr. Flanagan and Fr. Melvey. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The obituary will be published next week.
