Driver of car makes good get away
Seven year old Howard Emergon Seil of two miles west of Clare was struck by a hit and run vehicle Saturday night while walking with his parents. He died shortly after at Dr Clute's office from a broken neck and other injuries. Sheriff’s deputies pursued leads but the driver remained unknown. coroner’s jury returned an open verdict. Funeral services were held at Gleaner Hall with interment in Garfield cemetery.

Adisa Perkins born in St Lawrence county New York June 18 1852 died at home northwest of Clare August 7 1928 aged 76 years 1 month 25 days. She married Byron M Johnson March 3 1877 and they had eight children two preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday forenoon with Rev H B Johnson officiating and interment was in Cherry Grove cemetery.
