Mrs Gene White and her children from Warren called on Mr and Mrs George Bates during a Harrison visit last week. Mrs Lottie Smithgall of Mr Pleasant was a Monday and Tuesday guest of Mrs Pearl Denney.
Mrs. Nina C. Wood former Clare resident died July 27 at her Battle Creek home from a heart attack. She was the eldest of seven children of John and (unread) Gordon born in Hatton Township Clare County. Survived by three sons Oren Glen Lee and daughter Ethel Henderson all in Battle Creek. Funeral held in Battle Creek with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery beside her husband Jesse Wood. Many relatives attended from the area and Battle Creek. extensive notices of visits and social events follow.
