Thirty eight Clare high school seniors depart Clare at 4 00 on Sunday April 25 by chartered Greyhound for a week long trip through Gettysburg Washington D C New York and Niagara Falls with driver Ferde Wieferich and chaperones Mrs Iyah Bartow and Mrs Myrtie Bowerman. They tour Washington DC and New York City including the Capitol Smithsonian Lincoln Memorial Empire State Building NBC Studios and Radio City and return to Clare May 1 after a UN headquarters visit and Niagara Falls stop.

Fifty five eighth grade students rode a school bus to Paris Michigan on April 22 for a hatchery visit. Chaperoned by Allen Ru and Wayne Patterson, they arrived at 10 30 am where Hunice Wiese explained trout development from eye to mature fish. The group returned to class early afternoon.
