Wild training tested on trout in Michigan stream

Members of the Clare Women's Bowling Association met at the Hotel Doherty on May 3 for their annual meeting and officer elections. Bob Sharp was the lone Mt Pleasant Little Pioneer to hit effectively as Clare and Mt Pleasant IV split a doubleheader. Clare won 7-2 on April 29 with Costello striking out ten in five innings, and Mt Pleasant IV won 4-1 on May 3 aided by unearned runs and solid pitching by Ie Bay.

Clare High School will stage its annual spring concert May 14 in the school auditorium. Director Lloyd Ganley leads a band featuring top student musicians and includes a junior band section.
