City Clerk Geo White and a State Representative opened six bids at Harrison. The lowest bids clustered under 1000 dollars. Hudson and Coon bid about 26000 for one mile of concrete road and 0.25 mile gravel with Clare’s share 17281.76. Hudson, a former Hatton township citizen, partners with Coon of Lansing, an expert in concrete building. Hudson will start work once Governor Groesbeck signs credentials.

Edgar McCary died at his home in Lansing on April 16 1924 from heart leakage. Born July 1 1887 in Manistee he married Effie Couch on January 28 1917. Funeral held at the Baptist church with interment in Cherry Grove. survivors include his wife mother sisters brother and step son.

Mrs Julia Bader born Oakland county November 18 1842 died April 17 1924 at the home of her daughter Mrs George Bishop Flint. She married John Adam Bader December 31 1869 and had four children Edwin J Clarence Fred J and Mrs George Bishop all of Isabella county or Flint. A Rosabush Methodist member she lived forty years in Isabella County enduring pioneer hardships. Funeral Sunday at 3 pm from the Rosabush Methodist church with Rev C A Lobnes officiating and burial in Cherry Grove cemetery.
