The Mah Jong Club met with Miss Laila Wilson for a costume party decorated with lanterns and Chinese curios. Attendees included three young men, several girls, a Chinese maiden and butler, and a guest wore her mother’s wedding gown. The club bids farewell to Mrs. Norman Stanford and wishes her success. Edgar McCary of Lansing, a former Grant township resident, died suddenly of heart failure while dressing. Relatives in Clare received word. his body will be taken to Clare to his sister Mrs Maud Miller's home.
