More than 11 000 church members from 13 countries gathered in Independence Missouri on April 18 for the world conference of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Delegates from Farwell Harrison Coleman Midland Ewart Cadillac Houghton Lake Mt. Pleasant attended along with leaders such as President W Wallace Smith. The conference featured a dedication of a debt free auditorium started in 1926 with a 6300 pipe Aeolian Skinner organ and seating for 6000 in the chamber. Various services and classes were held with daily prayer meetings and evening talks. The next conference is planned for April 1964.
