Michigan nursery industry opposes state built facility
Readers and voters rally against a proposed Michigan Conservation Department Forestry Division nursery in southern Michigan. They argue private nurseries can meet stock needs with no tax expenditure, citing 30 to 40 million in potential private expansion, and claim a state build would cost about 181000 from federal funds and expand payrolls. They urge readers to contact legislators.
