Oldest Model A Ford Driver Shares Long Mississippi Life
J M Crow of Ethel Mississippi, age rugged today at ninety one, is the oldest Ford river in the state and one of the oldest in the nation. He rode in a train of thirty covered wagons from Georgia to Mississippi as a child, recalls General Scott’s Chapultepec victory, and served as a Confederate soldier. Crow walked 400 miles home after the Civil War and has watched transportation evolve from stagecoaches to motorbuses to today’s paved roads. His family many times appears with his Model A Ford, the second of its kind he has owned.
