Clare's City Commission will include Paul Schroeder Gerald Nivison and Charles Cooper as new members sworn in April 16 after Monday's election low turnout 330 votes. Nivison 207 Schroeder 187 Cooper 174 Walters and Roe trailed. Dunlop elected Justice of the Peace with 245 votes. The current board will canvass results tonight and the new panel will select a mayor from among its members with Albert Haley favored to stay.

Youngsters Collect 15 Bags Of Clothing
Clare Public School children collected fifteen bags of good used clothing for the Save The Children Federation, a child services agency distributing clothing to needy youngsters in the southern Appalachian mountains and on the Navaho Indian reservation. Superintendent Richard Wheeler credited teachers and student council for planning and supervision. The federation also sends clothing to Europe and Korea and stockpiles for disaster periods. The Federation sent the Student Council of GHS a certificate of award for the school's work during the drive.

Coleman Boys Held After Clare Theft
Four Coleman youths, all high school age, are detained in Clare after admitting knowledge of a break in at the Log Cabin grocery on East Fifth and Jefferson. A beer theft and a Coleman break in were linked by state troopers. Askey of Harrison was arrested for writing checks on a non existent account.

Dow PR Man To Speak To PTA Group
Eugene E. Perrin of Dow Chemical will address Clare High School teachers on April 13 on Chemistry's New Dimensions. He will cite the chemical industry's role in new products and jobs and urge teacher industry cooperation to spark student interest in science for U S tech leadership. Pudvay Ruby receive state Farmer Degree at FHA convention in East Lansing March 26 27.
