Federal agents arrested Dennis Lyons and Ray Collins in Dayton on charges of stealing from interstate shipments. The men, ages 25 and 32, allegedly took six dozen men’s suits from a freight car in February 1924. Lyons posted 5000 dollar bond while Collins faced 10000 dollars.

Beer delivery arrest leads to federal prohibition case
Max Winterhalter a truckman of 2835 Sidney avenue was arrested by federal prohibition agents while attempting to deliver two barrels of beer to Mrs. Sophia Heuer at Oak street and Carthage avenue. Five additional barrels were seized. Winterhalter was arraigned before United States Commissioner Thomas Gregory on a prohibition violation charge, pleaded not guilty, and was released on $1000 bond with a July 29 hearing set.
