Montana Faces Overdrafts and Bond Plan With No Special Session
Gov. Frank H. Cooney said Montana will avoid a special legislative session unless required as deficits grow. A state accountant projects a June 30 general fund overdraft of 384 088.02 and 456 664 for last biennium appropriations, totaling 940 742.02. Bond sales may ease cash flow but not fully balance the fund.
