Salesman Killed as Car Capsizes on Highway North of Pendroy
Charles d Autremont, a Chippewa Falls Chippewa Shoe Co. salesman, died after his car tipped while rounding a curve four miles north of Pendroy. He, 58, left a wife and four daughters. Undersheriff Deliwo and Coroner Roberts investigated as the body was sent to Helena for funeral arrangements. A Hartford Accident policy covered the industrial risks for Chippewa Shoes.

Local Board Selects Forest Army Candidates in Tentative Action
The Teton county relief committee reports 10 of about 15 eligible men have been chosen for Roosevelt's forest army with one more to be picked. Selection is not final and requires medical examination. if rejected, alternates will be considered. Two 200 man forest camps are planned in the Lewis and Clark forest. The board requires unmarried U S citizens aged 18 to 25 who are unemployed or destitute and will send $25 monthly to a dependent.

Centerville Tops Eight-Team Invitational Meet
Centerville won the annual eight-school track meet last Saturday with 48 1 7 points, Simms second with 41 4 7 and Teton third with 33 2 7. Balko set two records in the 100 yard dash and broad jump, Zupon led with 20 points and two Centerville records, while Robbins of Simms set high and low hurdles marks. The meet featured multiple new records and a fast half mile relay by Centerville in 1 41.

Principal A B Guthrie stated Teton high will not send delegates to the thirtieth annual Interscholastic Track and Field meet at the State University in Missoula due to funds and transportation uncertainties. The May 10 to 13 event is expected to draw around 100 schools with many towns listing entrants in track, tennis, and declaimers.

Priest writes from La Crosse as sister battles cancer
A letter from Rev. J. F. Schulte, pastor in this city, says he is at St Francis hospital in La Crosse caring for his sister Mrs. J. A. Boerkohl, who doctors say is near death from cancer. He visited Caledonia and Minneapolis, meeting Sister Theresa Pridham, now a stenographer at St Marys hospital. He plans to stay until his sister’s death unless there are changes.
