Flubs and Dubs in a Baseball Parody by Local Writers
Managers pick teams with playful nicknames to clash in a spoof league. Dodgers led by Casey Stengel face Giants under Bill Terry Loomis, while Hitler’s Swastikas meet Mickey Cochrane’s Tigers in a chaotic opening session. Notes on bets, umpires, and quirky figures fill the satire as a funeral for serious play is avoided. Jacob John is noted as having died, with a closing tease for next week.
