A total of 65 farmers joined the tri county farm tour conducted over Wednesday through Saturday. Attendance averaged 35 daily. Highlights included visits to Herman Lenz dairy farm with 125 Holstein cows, Clarence Bumgarner ranch, Greenfield beach project, and Cho teau dinner by the Lions Club.

Martin T. Olson, Republican nominee for county commissioner, visited Chateau Mon day and said Fairfield area crops look good with ample water after the Gib son reservoir project. Robison Party Involved In Glacier Park Highway Crash
Henry Robison and his party traveling to Glacier park were involved in a two car collision two miles north of the T. O. Largon ranch between Chateau and Bynum. The Chandler coupe owned by Fred White was driven by Ronald H. Thompson at the time of impact. Both drivers were detained by Sheriff J. L. Collina andheld in the county jail on a misdemeanor charge.

John Dexter, secretary and manager of the Millage Tax and Bond Issue campaign, toured Helena and nearby towns to explain two initiative measures Nos 33 and 84. Measure 33 would issue 3 million dollars in bonds for 14 state institutions, while measure 84 would levy 3 mills to fund education and related services. The talk notes past similar measures in 1920 and argues current needs exceed 1.5 mills as the general fund strains state institutions. The 1929 legislature referred the issues to voters at the upcoming general election.

Auto crash injures men. horse struck in Fairfield area
Jack Mogenson and a son of Maynard Genger suffered severe hand injuries when their car hit a horse Tuesday evening. Cords of two Mogenson fingers were severed. a third occupant, another Genger son, escaped unharmed. They were en route from Terteling camp to Fairfield and taken to Chateau hospital.

County canvass corrects minor errors in primary tally
A county canvassing board led by County Clerk George Carroll and Justices C. H. Ferris and J. G. Jackson reviewed the unofficial primary tallies on Friday. A few small vote adjustments were made, three votes were misallocated to C. H.
