County budget sees rise for current year in county finances
The preliminary budget for Teton county for the year ending July 1, 1931 totals 225,620 dollars, up from 206,425 dollars last year. Forest inspection notes better stock ranges and new line progress
Supervisor W E Lockhart returned from a south Lew is and Clark forest inspection reporting generally better stock ranges than a year ago and still green sections. He noted the forest telephone line from Elk Creek ranger station to Steamboat Mountain is under construction by three men and should be completed in about two weeks.

Negro man committed to state insane asylum after hearings
Joe Sales, a Negro from the Blackleaf district, was committed to the state insane asylum last Saturday after two hearings before Chairman Algon Udin of the county board. Doctors Dulaney Maynard and Bateman conducted examinations. he was taken to Liberty and then to the asylum, with Undersheriff Billings making the 380 mile round trip in 14.5 hours.

Pheasants Released Across Teton County by Warden
Deputy Game Warden Frank Snider distributed forty eight Chinese pheasants received from the Game Bird farm near Warm Springs. The birds were released last Tuesday and Wednesday at sites including upper Deep creek and Spring creek preserve, Blackleaf near the Muddy, and up on the Teton about fourteen miles.
