Fourth of July reminiscences from old Choteau scrapbook
In Rochester Minnesota a reader recalls Choteau's 1900s Fourth of July celebration from a scrapbook kept by Mrs. Franklin. The day featured races won by Louie Robare, a Fort Shaw Indians baseball win over Choteau, a sheriff in Cut Bank, rodeo antics with Shorty Russell directing fireworks, and a grand ball at Woodmen Hall that capped the festivities.
