Two Chateau high school teachers marked a Sunday birthday gathering. Donald Depner and Raymond Anderson left January 9 to answer Uncle Sam and join the armed forces. Home Demonstration club meets this Thursday with Mrs. Henry Nyhus. The 4-H club held a skating party at John Chalmers’ home Friday night as children and parents enjoyed the cold evening. Mr and Mrs G I Tangen hosted dinner Tuesday with Henry Aversmeyer, Raymond and Howard attending.

By late October Montana farmers had placed more than twice as much wheat under government price support loans than last year. Through Oct 31 total 1951 loans reached 12.66 million bushels of grain, with 6.34 million wheat on farms and 6.07 million stored wheat, totaling 24.36 million dollars in wheat loans.
