Rod Skies of Montana to screen at The Roxy February 3 and 4

The Roxy at Chateau will show Rod Skies of Montana on February 3 and 4. The film, a Montana origin story about forest service smokejumpers, stars Richard Widmark and Constance Smith. It began as a world premier project January 20 in Missoula and Great Falls and was shot near Nine Mile, Montana, in 1950 and 1951.

Service Held For Arthur B Meyers In Fairfield

Funeral services were held at Community Congregational church in Fairfield for 73 year old Arthur Benjamin Meyers who died after a lengthy illness. Rev. Robert Livingston officiated with interment in Red Cloud Nebraska. Meyers born May 26 1878 in Pickaway County Ohio lived in Nebraska before moving to Fairfield in 1935 and later remarried to Willa Whitfield in 1939.

Merle Griffith, county campaign director, announced twelve Teton county workers for the 1952 March of Dimes drive to combat polio.
