Dillon rancher regains sight after 18 years of darkness
C. E. Barnes, a 66 year old Dillon rancher, underwent cataract surgery in Anaconda to restore his left eye after 18 years of blindness. He had lost right eye vision 45 years earlier and learned to “see” by touch. The procedure followed months of travel for treatment with Dr. Dunlap and Dr. Terrill. He recalls seeing his wife, neighbors, the Metlen hotel, and new car colors for the first time. The couple plans to write his name in flowing ink as a new milestone.
