Lions Hear Father McGowan Denounce Sins at Tuesday Meeting
The Rev. Father Edward McGowan of St. Luke's delivered the Lions club address defending Christianity against communism and atheism. He warned that schools and universities are hot beds of evil, urged a united Christian front, and cited examples from New York, Seattle, and Spain to illustrate the threat to democracy. The talk followed committee reports and guest attendance at the regular gathering.

Recommendations Made For Treating Horse Sleeping Sickness
County Agent Fred Willson reports about 500 sleeping sickness cases in the county. He urges fly protection for work horses, recommends good fly sprays and blankets, and notes Dr. B O Fisher's serum may immunize quickly though not guaranteed. Serum costs about 1.50 per horse and can be mailed to Great Falls. Keep diseased animals away from flies and bury any dead animals to prevent spread.
