Health Officers Seek Public Assistance in Checking Whooping Cough

Pheasants Released Across Teton County By Sportsmen Group
The Teton County Sportsmen's Association received 225 young Chinese pheasants from the state fish and game commission on Saturday for liberation. One hundred birds were released in the Chateau area and 125 in Dutton. The birds were trucked from Warm Springs in crates with cooperation from association officials and local sportsmen.

Commissioner J. T. Sparling announced that the Grain Inspection Service at Great Falls and Harlowton is fully prepared to perform grain inspections promptly. New equipment is being installed and staff will be added as demand requires. All grain in farm storage used for government loans must be tested for grade, moisture, and dockage. Upland Game Bird Shooting Is Barred This Year
The Montana fish and game commission barred upland game bird hunting for the year citing a native bird shortage. Blue grouse sage hens prairie chickens fool hens and other upland birds will be protected. A closed season on chukar partridges and Hungarian partridges was also ordered with a Livingston meeting to set grunting season dates for Chinese pheasants and Hungarian partridges.
