Two prominent Teton county ranchers, John Lane of Belleview and Wm. Breding of Agawam, reported finishing haying in town on Monday. Lane said he gathered about 200 tons, roughly half a crop, with leftovers from last year to carry through winter. Breding produced around 100 tons of native bluejoint hay, expecting to fetch more than $20 per ton and noting a ready market in Great Falls.
