The Appaloosie Horse That Saved Gros Ventres Camp
In early days the Gros Ventres village on Wolf Creek faced invasion by Assinniboine and Cree forces. Weasel of Gros Ventres uses a silver spotted Appaloosa to save the main camp, earning honor and a lasting song. The horse dies after the village tragedy when its keepers mourn its loss and the tribe preserves its legend.
