In the municipal election Burns won the mayorship over David L. Boggs by a ten to one margin. Burns led Ward 1 131 to 10 and Ward 2 158 to 19 with Burns totaling 289 votes to Boggs 29. R R Mellon and A H Doughty were elected to alderman seats. The council will make the official canvass at the next meeting.

Leland Walker an eighth grade boy from Fairfield placed first in the boys division of a regional flag contest at Shelby. Betty Young, from Fairfield, was runner up in the girls division, losing by one point. Lestrud Travels Between Dillon and CCC Camp

A Resettlement administration office was opened this week in the Teton County Court House in rooms of the former relief office. County Rehabilitation Supervisor A. Bauer will head the office with Frank R. Rowley overseeing Pon dora and Teton counties. The program emphasizes rehabilitation loans for farm needs and rent taxes and requires prior refusals from emergency seed loan and Production Credit associations. The loan terms cover 2 to 5 years at 5 percent interest and require a farm management plan showing repayment ability.
