Tourism drops sharply in Chetwynd summer on poor signage
Chetwynd saw a 56 percent tourism decline in July and August from 1994 figures. The Visitor Info Centre cited missing signage, no bus tours, rainy weather, and limited accommodations as main causes. Hudson's Hope meanwhile posted a summer visitor increase, with 4 007 visitors May 22 to August 31, up from 3 330 a year earlier.
