Alarm system damaged in Chetwynd apartment fire alarm
Chetwynd Fire Department responded to a general alarm at a major apartment building at 7 pm Thursday. Fire Chief Leo Sabulsky said a resident accidentally damaged a smoke detector and some residents damaged pull stations and fire bells instead of evacuating. He urged residents to review fire drill procedures and contact building managers for concerns, adding to call 911 in emergencies and not to dismantle detectors or bells.
