Power outage Barn Chetwynd plants massive flare at Pine River
A power failure at Pine River Gas Plant near Chetwynd triggered a two hour non planned flaring event starting around 7:30 am. Spectra Energy noted automatic shutdowns and depressurization of the sulphur pipeline while residents reported a rotten egg odour and eye and lung irritation from the flare.
