Pair Sentenced to 30 Days for Petty Larceny
Walter Lee Akridge, 16, of Chanute and Bobby L. Gumm, 18, Kansas City pleaded guilty to two counts of petty larceny. They received 30 days in county jail on each count, to run concurrently, for stealing a case of beer from Caresio Brothers warehouse and gasoline from a storage tank at Country Club. A third boy under 16 was referred to juvenile authorities. The theft occurred Sunday.
