Political Notes surveys how Iowa and neighboring Nebraska share a battle over candidate documentation. Dan Shasteen accuses Gov. Exon of using the office for J. J. Exon Company interests. District Attorney Warin reviews. Clark Jepsen debate documentation judged and scored, with nuanced positions on terrorism Uganda aid and South Africa policy. Tons of local political activity follows as campaigns issue statements and plan events across Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and statewide.
