Decrease Seen In Corn Belt Cattle Feeding For 1941-42
A federal summary indicates the 1941-42 cattle feeding season may be smaller than 1940-41. July-September stocker and feeder shipments to the corn belt fell about one third versus last year while western shipments delayed by good range feed. Prices for feeder cattle are high relative to fat cattle, and total fed cattle supplies into early 1942 may be reduced even if fall shipments rise.
