The city operates a community nutrition service at 401 City Hall now hosting a children’s clinic started a month ago under Miss Lucy Simpson. The clinic runs every Thursday 9 to 10 with a child specialist offering medical exams to needy school age children. All diets prescribed are affordable for every family and volunteers from the Junior League of Cedar Rapids assist at the center.
