AFL backs expulsion of Lewis aligned unions
The American Federation of Labor executive council urges the Tampa convention to expel the ten unions led by John L. Lewis for industrial organizing. Expulsion seems likely, with Lewis forces counting about a third of AFL membership and plans to intensify pressure after the vote.
