Local Players Win Honors In Par Contract Series
Bridge players dominated the second of four par contract games at the Roosevelt hotel. Section A winners were Mrs. Frank C. Byers and Mrs. H. J. Robertson plus Mrs. George E. Beattie and Mrs. Carl F. Jordan. Section B victors were Mrs. R. J. Vorkoper and Mrs. A. H. Boileau along with Mrs. W. M. Jayne and Mrs. C. A. Stout. Thirty six players from Waterloo, Rock Island, Davenport, Cedar Falls and Iowa City competed. Third in the series will be November 17 at the Roosevelt hotel, sponsored by Mrs. Oliver Longueville and Mrs. S. P. Moore.
