Portland light-rail stabbings kill two men amid anti-Muslim hate speech
Police say Jeremy Joseph Christian fatally stabbed Ricky Best and Taliesin Namkai Meche on an eastbound MAX train after they tried to intervene against a passenger shouting anti-Muslim slurs. A third rider was injured. Christian faces multiple charges and is held without bail.
