Accord reached on school money woes
A House Senate conference committee approved a 14.45 million two year funding package to aid school districts suffering enrollment losses. The plan includes 2.5 million for the School Budget Review Committee and allows use of prior September enrollment data. It adds a 10 percent enrichment referendum option and pilot programs for gifted children, with approval needed from both chambers.
