Cedar Rapids district weighs Eisenhower lease and Noelridge use
The Cedar Rapids Community School District presented to the board proposals to lease Eisenhower Elementary next year and to keep Noelridge as the Kennedy High School Work Study Laboratory site. The plan, tied to a Kirkwood Community College agreement for Metro High School expansion, faces opposition from Eisenhower parents and conflicts with the School Facilities Task Force. A May 25 DPI hearing on Eisenhower’s closing looms amid leasing discussions and escalation of district insurance costs.
