Iowa City eyes fall completion for new city manager
Iowa City aims to hire a new city manager by fall after firing Michael Lombardo in April 2009. The city uses Slavin Management Consultants to identify candidates, unlike Cedar Rapids which did not hire a search firm or host public finalist events. The process includes public input and coordination with local institutions before naming a successor.
