Rock-bottom cost to move Linn County court division
Linn District Court moved its First Avenue Division to the Linn County Courthouse at a cost of 6450.25 dollars, far under the 30,000 dollar federal funding earmarked. Workers from the Work Alternative to Relief program and staff helped cut expenses with minimal use of professional movers. Remaining funds may cover remodeling, alarm and door-bell systems, and future courthouse upgrades.
