Gary D. Sieck, 28, of Cedar Rapids, was thrown from his motorcycle when it collided with a car driven by Larry Covington, 28, at 11th Street and 15th Avenue SW. Sieck received aid at St. Luke's Hospital then released. he faces a charge of failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.

Cedar Rapids police investigated two burglaries reported Thursday and Friday. At 3711 Elmwood Drive NE, $1 080 in cameras and photography gear were taken from a living room with no sign of forced entry. At 1231 Second Ave SE a TV set window fan and cigarettes were stolen after a screen was torn from an open window, valued at $429.

Gas group denies front for decontrol campaign
The National Gas Supply Association officials denied claims by the Iowa Citizen/Labor Energy Coalition that the group funds a front organization for decontrol of natural gas prices.
